Within the APO, APO Tech is responsible for designing, delivering, and governing the AWS Partner Network (APN) value exchange with AWS. This role leverages broad operational and technical skills to drive operational enablement for APO Tech functional teams, ensuring that both stakeholders and leadership have the necessary information to operate and execute efficiently.

You will function in a highly collaborative and cross-functional role, working with the leadership, strategy, and planning of APO Tech business priorities. You are a proactive and action-oriented self-starter who can effectively navigate ambiguity and manage competing objectives in a lean, fast-paced organization. You will be able to earn trust through relationship building and measurable performance. You will think strategically and analytically about business challenges, and possess a deep analytical background that contributes to APO Tech's success in meeting its business objectives. Your work will directly impact the strategy and decisions of the AWS Partner Organization that will better serve our customers in their journey to the cloud.

Key job responsibilities

• Be a hands-on business partner to an innovation and execution practice within APO Tech, executing across four key business pillars: Annual Planning, Rhythm of the Business (RoB), Business Insights, and Operational Enablement.

• Build mechanisms and translate into operational plans related to annual planning, forecasting, and strategic priorities (e.g. OP1, OP2).

• Build and manage end-to-end goal planning mechanisms (e.g. cross-functional interlock, distribution, operationalize tracking, attainment, and get-to-green plans).

• Drive predictability through management of rhythm of the business activities, such as weekly, monthly, quarterly business and financial reviews, and other business cadences.

• Create, implement, automate, and drive the global standardization of business processes, tools, and/or reporting, templates, methods, and cadences, including identifying and eliminating ineffective controls and procedures, and sharing best practices.

• Ability to dive deep to find answers with actionable outcomes and/or solutions leveraging strong data extraction skills to curate insights through analyzing historic data, variances, and trends, and to identify and mitigate gaps/risks/impact and uncover opportunities.

• Collaborate closely with functional stakeholders and Partner Intelligence team to ascertain business asks/needs, and to drive standardization, prioritization and automation of metrics, data, reporting, and dashboards.

• Develop relationships and earn trust with Field Sales, Finance, HR, and other business partners and act as the SME on the interlock with field sales and other partner groups.

• Understand the sales org structure, levers, and comp structure who interface with partner teams to help initiative owners drive through the field.

• Serve as a leader and point of contact to manage escalations and resolutions.

• Support and deliver on any other ad-hoc requests, projects, initiatives, and/or analysis, as needed.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.



Qualifications

- 5+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field

- 5+ years’ experience in a business/channel/sales strategy, operations and planning, or project and/or program management, or similar role within a global, high-growth technology company.

- Prior experience providing both oral and written communication that engages, influences, and facilitates decision-making processes with cross-functional peers, stakeholders and/or leadership.



Extended Qualifications

- Understanding of cloud economics and/or experience working with cloud services.

- 2+ years’ experience using business intelligence tools to develop data and dashboards (e.g. QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, Domo); ability to write and debug SQL queries.

- Experience in preparing and presenting data-driven documents, communicating complex concepts, and translating the results into actionable insights, deliverables, and outcomes.

- Demonstrated analytical skills with an independent ability to perform queries, working with large, complex data sets, data mining, inspection, and root cause analysis.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
