Within the AWS SMGS organization, the Sales Strategy and Operations team is responsible for supporting Leadership, Sales, and Operational teams in achieving organizational objectives and driving continuous improvements in field productivity. We own and deliver “run the business” (RTB) operational cadences, build new mechanisms to support organizational growth and scale, and drive organizational initiatives. This role will be a member of the Specialist Business Planning team supporting Worldwide, Go To Market (GTM), and Area Specialist Business Planning Initiatives such as territory, quota, and goal planning.

This role will have the responsibility to develop, evolve, and deliver business planning strategies in coordination with the planning mechanism owners and cross-functional planning partners (Finance, Data Products, Operations), analyze data and customer feedback to drive business recommendations, and lead cross-SMGS initiatives including tool and product launches – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. The ideal candidate has broad analytical skills and financial acumen, deep sales strategy experience, a curious mindset, ability to manage and prioritize in a complex, large, matrixed and ambiguous environment, as well as a demonstrated ability to influence without explicit authority.

In this role, you will partner directly with the annual planning mechanism owners and work closely with members of the Specialist operations teams across AWS’ portfolio of products and services to ensure we are defining and launching effective planning mechanisms to support the AWS business.

- Develop and execute implementation, change management, and enablement plans for annual planning mechanisms

- Manage interdependencies across large scale, complex, cross-functional initiatives

- Deliver simple, scalable solutions to challenges during the annual planning cycle

- Conduct complex data analysis, and identify patterns and trends in data
