Description
The missions for AWS Field Experiences (AFX) in AWS Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is to maximize AWS’s success by delivering industry leading go-to-market tooling that enables AWS Field teams to exceed business outcomes and accelerate AWS cloud adoption.We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual who will work closely with AFX leadership, business and technical teams to manage AFX business operations including, OP1, goals, roadmap, and rhythm of the business mechanisms. The individual will drive and advance business operations while working in a fast-paced and evolving environment. They will help build the AFX strategy during OP1 season, define and manage the AFX goals and roadmap to ensure alignment to strategy, delivery and execution. The scope of this role is broad and impactful with the AFX goals and roadmap unifying countless internal and third party tools, datasets and insights to enable every team in SMGS, including AWS Global Sales (AGS), Worldwide Public Sector, Greater China Region, Partner, Professional Services, Training & Certification, and Marketing.
Key job responsibilities
This role is crucial to the successful creation and implementation of critical business operations that enable AFX to deliver for customers. This individual will collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams to:
• Establish and own the rhythm of the business that includes weekly, monthly and quarterly mechanisms and operational cycles.
• Manage the OP1 process, including strategy planning and definition, customer intake and assessment, stakeholder engagement, and document creation and delivery.
• Develop and maintain the single source of truth for the organizational goals and roadmap; highlight needs for strategic direction, greater alignment, possible consolidation or additional clarity.
• Proactively define and communicate all SOP/tools/standard templates for operational cadences that centralize organizational operations and enable delivery at scale.
• Work closely with community manager and metrics team to analyze feedback and metrics and identify trends. Use this to drive discussions related to priorities.
• Track headcount requests and allocations.
A successful candidate will have experience managing complex business challenges and driving initiatives forward in a fast-paced and evolving environment. They will be able to think strategically, act effectively and display strong analytical skills with a bias toward data-driven decision making. They will be able to communicate priorities and work effectively with multiple stakeholders and senior leadership. They will be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving challenging problems. They will be expected to dive deep into data, and continually invent, simplify and improve improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes. They will have excellent organizational, project management and communication skills. They will demonstrate attention to detail and be able to build strong cross-org working relationships, earning the trust of others.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
Extended Qualifications
- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools- Experience presenting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
