A strategically important part of our charter is to drive adoption across a portfolio of self-service, cost per click advertising products to enable head to tail advertisers to engage with customers in relevant ways. As part of our growing SMB Marketing team, we are looking for a Business Marketing Manager who is passionate about helping small businesses succeed off Amazon. In this role, you will drive the comprehensive marketing strategy that includes identifying the problem, core objectives and goals, overview of demand initiatives and priorities, and cross-team opportunities needed to reach our goal for the product(s) and features they oversee. You need to identify target customers or opportunity segments, consult with Product Marketing Managers to determine product value propositions and develop compelling messages reflecting those value propositions, and provide direct input to marketing communications. You will partner closely with internal teams to perform business analysis related to forecasting, reporting needs, and business trends and performance to drive business success.

To be successful you’ll need to be a strong communicator and collaborator who can earn trust with key leaders and stakeholders across multiple teams. You are results-oriented and have a relentless focus on using customer data and insights to deliver bar-raising experiences.

Key job responsibilities

- Identify the business problem/opportunity to inform business strategy, ensure that key stakeholders (marketing manager, partner teams, etc) understand business opportunity/priority for effective strategy planning

- Own business insights and share findings with key stakeholders/leadership

- Own business strategy reviews and drives alignment with cross-functional teams where support is needed

- Forecast business goals, define key objectives, and monitor goal performance

- Keep goal / program roadmaps on track

- Partner with marketing managers on Content Strategy/Marketing Strategy to provide feedback during planning cycles

- Understand / provide feedback on product roadmap (if applicable) to inform business prioritization

- Partner with marketing science teams to develop targeting models and insights for core segments (if applicable)

- Drive program reporting implementation for defined workstream

- Provide and own inputs for operational planning cycles (OP1 / OP2)



Qualifications

- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion



Extended Qualifications

- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
