Description

Amazon Web Services Training and Certification (T&C) team is looking for a Sr. Business Manager to manage Training Operation programs for the T&C organization. You will work closely with T&C senior leadership and stakeholders to establish best practices, procedural rigor, operational and process improvements, and analytical insights. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping, evangelizing, and day-to-day management of our Training Operation programs working cross-functionally with AWS teams around the world.

This role requires an individual with strong program management background with experience successfully owning and leading medium to large global programs. Candidate will work with stakeholders and multiple business teams to identify, define, and specify solutions meeting customers' needs. Candidate will be the face and voice for the project teams and ensure all stakeholders are aware of successes, risks, and project status. The role requires strong ability to earn trust, as well as work cross-functionally across the organization, including senior leaders.

Key job responsibilities

• Build strong partnerships across internal and external stakeholders and customers to drive roadmap and program to completion across multiple organizations and teams

• Own business management projects end-to-end, articulating status and challenges regularly to leadership and stakeholders

• Take a leading role in annual operational planning cycles, including creating written documents and building robust headcount plans

• Collaborate with business management peers, product/tech teams, and cross-functional customers to onboard organizations to a Headcount Management Tool

• Own metrics for measuring project success, establish a metrics tracking and distribution mechanism leveraging data and interpret metrics to drive insights for improvement.

• Communicate program updates, SOP changes, and overall progress to leaders and cross functional stakeholders.

• Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels

• Collect, analyze, and review quantitative data and make recommendations to senior leadership on a path forward as a result

• Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process to meet program objectives

• Coordinate with Strategy & Operations, Capacity Planning, HR, Recruiting and Finance teams to analyze historical data and forecast demand

• Participate on special projects as needed

Qualifications

- 7+ years of Microsoft Excel experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- 3+ years of relevant program/project management experience

- Experience leading global program initiatives and/or process improvement efforts

- Experience owning program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

- Experience working on cross-functional teams

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills



Extended Qualifications

- Experience presenting to senior leadership

- MBA and/or Certified Product/Program Management credentials

- Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS)

- Experience with headcount management

- Experience with Tableau

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
