Description

Global Customer Fulfillment (GCF) is seeking a Business Intelligence Manager to join the Quantitative Business Intelligence Tools (QuBIT) team. You will lead and manage solutions providing seamless data access across the Customer Fulfillment Network, spanning hundreds of fulfillment centers that ship millions of packages annually. Every shipment represents an opportunity to improve customer service and pricing.

As the QuBIT BI team leader, you will manage a team of Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Engineers who will build scalable reporting and analytics solutions, implement automation initiatives, and own key business metrics. The role involves standardizing reporting frameworks to transform raw data into actionable insights while partnering with senior leaders and PMs to influence strategic decisions. You'll develop and prioritize project roadmaps as your team creates complex analytics solutions at scale with a focus on operational excellence. You'll engage with leadership across all organizational levels, from fulfillment centers to corporate offices, to drive data-informed decision making throughout the network.

Key job responsibilities

1. Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide scalable BI solutions.

2. Team Leadership: Hire, develop, and lead a team of Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs).

3. Data Strategy & Metrics: Define, track, and maintain key business metrics to monitor operational performance and drive business decisions.

4. BI & Reporting Solutions: Design, implement, and support automated dashboards, reports, and self-service BI tools to democratize data across teams.

5. Data Quality & Governance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in all reporting and analytics frameworks.

6. Process Optimization: Drive automation and operational efficiencies in reporting pipelines, eliminating manual processes where possible.

7. Deep-Dive Analytics: Conduct deep dives into large, complex datasets to identify trends, diagnose problems, and uncover opportunities for process improvement.

8. Technical Collaboration: Partner with Data Engineering, Hardware, and Software Development teams to enable better data capture, integration, and storage solutions.

9. Business Reviews: Own reporting for Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), and Weekly Business Reports (WBR).

10. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data and statistical analysis to drive recommendations that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.



Qualifications

- 5+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience

- 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience

- Experience with SQL

- Experience with ETL

- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

- Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software



Extended Qualifications

- 4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience

- 10+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
