Amazon Private Brands (APB) is one of Amazon's fastest-growing businesses — a portfolio of owned and exclusive brands spanning across three different Categories (Softlines, Consumables and Hardlines) serving millions of customers across 10 global marketplaces in North America, Europe, and the Japan.The Private Brands Finance team drives financial planning, performance reporting, and business insights that shape how APB grows, invests, and competes. We work across a complex, multi-dimensional P&L, partnering closely with business, supply chain, and category teams to turn data into decisions.
As a Business Intelligence Engineer supporting the Private Brands Finance team, you will own the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines, reporting infrastructure, and self-service analytics tools that empower 200+ stakeholders. You will lead cross-functional partnerships with Finance, Supply Chain, and Category teams — translating complex data into actionable insights that shape APB's growth strategy. From architecting solutions for monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycles to driving deep-dive profitability analyses, your work will directly influence how APB leadership steers the business across 10 global marketplaces.
You'll collaborate with Finance and cross-functional business teams. Whether you're dealing with visualization, Pipeline Creation, Gen-AI agent builds or automatin projects, your contributions will be visible, meaningful, and lasting.

Key job responsibilities
1) Own the architecture and development of scalable, reliable data pipelines and reporting infrastructure that support APB Finance's multi-dimensional P&L
2) Lead the design and delivery of self-service analytics tools and dashboards, enabling 200+ stakeholders to independently access and act on financial data
3) Drive deep-dive analyses on profitability drivers, cost structures, and category performance to inform strategic investment decisions
4) Partner with and influence senior Finance, Supply Chain, and Category leaders — proactively identifying analytical opportunities and translating business questions into data solutions
5) Lead and scope Gen-AI agent builds and automation projects that improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort across the finance organization
6) Support strategic planning cycles (OP1/OP2) with data modeling, scenario analysis, and performance benchmarking
7) Establish and champion best practices for data quality, pipeline reliability, and documentation standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience- 1+ years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience
- 1+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience
- 1+ years of performing statistical analysis experience
- 1+ years of developing automated reporting experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Extended Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Experience using Python scripting to process data for modeling

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
