Description

Join Global Logistics (GL) as a Business Intelligence Engineer I, where you'll help drive our mission of delivering worldwide cross-border product selection at competitive prices. In this role, you'll build data solutions that help sellers and vendors navigate international trade and logistics while supporting Amazon's strategic vision of global commerce.

Key job responsibilities

- Design and implement ETL data pipelines to analyze billions of records across multiple databases

- Develop high-quality, optimized SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis using Redshift

- Create scalable data sources in collaboration with Data Engineers and business stakeholders

- Partner with Data Scientists and Product Managers to implement data-driven improvements

- Build user-friendly, automated reporting solutions to streamline analytics requests

- Develop and maintain business-critical metrics, KPIs, and financial reporting across forecasting products

A day in the life

Your day typically starts with a team standup to align on priorities and ongoing projects. You might spend your morning optimizing a complex SQL query for a new analytics dashboard, followed by collaborating with Data Engineers to refine data pipeline designs. After lunch, you could be in meetings with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs or working with Data Scientists to implement new metrics. You'll regularly use tools like Tableau or Quicksight to create visualizations that make data accessible to various teams.

The Exports Visibility team, based in Bellevue, is part of GL's rapidly growing organization. We work directly with logistics cross-border carriers and various stakeholders to enhance international delivery experiences. Our team values continuous learning and innovation as we tackle increasingly complex data challenges. We're looking for someone who thinks big and wants to make a direct impact on transforming global commerce.



Qualifications

- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)

- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)



Extended Qualifications

- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree

- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design

- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
