Description
Are you interested in being part of a high visibility, strategic team that directly impacts Amazon worldwide? The Core Selling Partner Experience team defines, implements, and enforces quality standards for all Amazon-built experiences for all of our selling partners worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join our Governance team, which is focused on measuring the quality of the Selling Partner Experience. Specifically, this role will partner with engineering, science, and product leaders to provide insights on the vendor experience, create key performance indicators, design and develop scaled, automated, user-friendly reporting, and partner on unlocking opportunities for our selling partners by breaking down complex problems. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, skilled at blending advanced reporting with strong critical thinking and project management skills, and be experienced in designing and delivering cross-functional custom reporting solutions.The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter that can work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment; have great bias for action; be deeply customer-centric; and has a drive to own, build, and grow; along with the ability to have a little bit of fun.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional or military experience- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
Extended Qualifications
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
