Amazon is looking for a talented and entrepreneurial Business Developer for our Gift Cards business to business (B2B) channel. The business developer is an ideal start for individuals who are looking for a high-impact and highly visible role. The North America (NA) Amazon Gift Card Stores Business team owns a portfolio of products on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca that meets customer’s everyday gifting needs including electronic gift cards, physical gift cards, and Amazon stored value. A successful candidate is a self -starter, who has the ability to move quickly, dive into the details and has an ability to work in an ambiguous environment.

This role is an exciting opportunity where you’ll have P&L ownership for our B2B channel in the US and CA and work autonomously to deliver selection, delivery, and pricing strategies to help grow the GC stores business. You will interface with Gift Card’s key stakeholders including Product, Marketing, Finance, Design, UX, and Amazon partner teams. This includes (1) Accelerating our cost to serve initiatives and drive topline growth (2) influencing and setting product and selection strategy for B2B channel (3) working with central teams on developing new opportunities to drive growth and process improvements, and (4) Identifying cross-GL synergies and partnerships across Amazon to increase Gift Card awareness to new customers.

• Delivering new business for gift cards, product vouchers and Prime

• Using Data to deliver sales strategy across multiple verticals.

• Deliver channel strategy documents to leadership, which will focus both in year and 3Y Planning

• Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders across functions to deliver results.

A day in the life

A day in the life of the successful candidate revolves around the sales lifecycle. On a daily basis the Business Development Manager (BDM) will prospect new clients, convert leads to active opportunities, move opportunities through sales stages to closure, and manage closed deals to launch/purchase. The BDM will identify industry and use case friction points and CX opportunities and work with partner teams to continually improve.

About the team

Amazon Incentives drives the Amazon flywheel by enabling businesses to reward employees and incent customers with Amazon Gift Cards and Product Vouchers. We sell products directly to business customers via our business development team, to smaller customers directly via our self-service channel, and through resellers to scale the business broadly.



Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- 7+ years of B2B or enterprise sales with a focus on hunting new business experience



Extended Qualifications

- Knowledge of procurement and source to pay processes and solutions or equivalent experience

- Experience positioning and selling innovative solutions to new and existing customers and market segments

- Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing opportunities across a wide spectrum of customer engagement levels

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $176,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
