Description
Business Analysts are responsible for converting data into actionable business insights. They are analysis experts who leverage a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to provide timely, meaningful, and consumable information. They build deep contextual and domain knowledge. They ensure data quality and build scalable tools. They communicate findings with the most effective and influential methods.Amazon Currency Convertor is seeking an exemplary Business Analyst with broad technical skills to develop data visualizations and build automation solutions that drive business decision making and process improvement. The ideal candidate will draw upon advanced analytical, problem solving skills, and passion for delivering business insights and analytics. The complexity of research and skills for a Business Analyst is well beyond basic data entry and extraction. It involves design and development of automated data pipelines, sophisticated analytical modeling and intuitive data visualization. This role will directly be responsible for maintaining front end code using Python, SQL, HTML, Java, and R, or other similar coding languages. Proficiency in the aforementioned languages is not required, but an ability to be a quick learner and gain proficiency is required for a successfully candidate. This role will have high level visibility due to the nature of the toolsets being maintained, built, and the network impact of analysis conducted.
The overall ACC business provides a better payment experience for cross-border Buyers and Sellers worldwide and extends Amazon’s reach beyond the borders of our existing Amazon marketplaces. ACC owns two services: Amazon Currency Converter for Sellers (ACCS) and Amazon Currency Converter for Buyers (ACCB). ACCS enables Sellers to sell in more Amazon marketplaces by making it easier to get paid in their local currency to their home bank account, thus increasing the number of Sellers and product selection on Amazon marketplaces. ACCB makes it easier for international Buyers to pay in their local currency, improving the international customer experience and increasing the number of customers shopping on Amazon sites. ACC generates free cash flow and directly impacts the Amazon Flywheel.
The ideal candidate will bring the following to the position: a) strong technical and problem solving skills including the creation of business and data strategy; b) strong and clear verbal and written communication skills to articulate your vision and influence others c) ability to dive into technical details and problem solve with the engineering team
Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have successful personal attributes including creativity, leadership, and the ability to influence outcomes both internally and externally. This opportunity requires excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, self-sufficient and results-oriented.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Extended Qualifications
- Experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau- 2+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
- Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
