We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support our next generation of analytics solutions, including a Generative AI-powered insights assistant that transforms how FBA teams access and act on data. This role is critical to ensuring our products deliver accurate, actionable insights that meet the needs of diverse business stakeholders.
You will work at the intersection of business and technology — gathering and validating requirements, designing and refining prompts for our GenAI solutions, and implementing robust feedback loops to continuously improve the insights experience. Your work will ensure that our AI solutions are deeply aligned with business priorities, use cases, and context.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop, test, and refine prompts to improve the quality, accuracy, and business relevance of insights generated by the GenAI assistant.
- Collaborate with data engineers, applied scientists, and program managers to align prompts with data availability and technical constraints.
- Conduct interviews and working sessions to gather business requirements and use cases.
- Validate that the GenAI insights assistant meets business needs through structured UAT and pilots.
- Develop mechanisms to capture user feedback on insights accuracy, usability, and gaps.
- Analyze feedback data to identify patterns and prioritize enhancements for the tech team.
- Translate business processes and needs into clear technical requirements for data engineering and AI development teams.
- Prepare documentation, FAQs, and user guides to support adoption and training.
- Support initiatives to ensure consistent metric definitions and trusted data sources across all GenAI insights outputs.
- Build presentations and reporting artifacts for senior leaders to showcase impact, adoption trends, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, analytics, product analytics, or similar roles.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets and translating them into business insights.
- Proven ability to gather requirements, facilitate workshops, and synthesize diverse perspectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Extended Qualifications
- Experience working on AI/ML or Generative AI projects, particularly around prompt design or conversational analytics.- Knowledge of data lake or data warehouse environments (e.g., Redshift, S3) and metadata concepts.
- Background in operational or financial analysis within supply chain, retail, or e-commerce domains.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and drive clarity across diverse teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
