Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides a highly reliable, scalable, and low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in countries around the world. The Tech U Team is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced business analyst to create, lead, manage, and deliver internal AWS Global Tech U data driven projects in a rapidly evolving and expanding landscape. In this global role, with direction from AWS Tech U Management and with your passion for analysis, you will identify resources, assemble and lead project teams, manage team timelines, manage issues and risks, monitor progress, manage budget and funding, report out and create within a project management application timelines and results. Individual will work closely with Tech U leadership to deliver compelling and relevant projects that support the AWS platform and objectives. In this role, it is expected that you will have the ability to influence others and to discuss data rich, complex projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

- Develop methods and metrics that provide insights to business, operations and training teams

- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting: data integrity, analysis, validation and documentation

- Understand data resources and now how, when and which to use – and which not to use - to solve business problems

- Clearly communicate results and techniques, both verbally and in writing to peers and business partners

- Automate reoccurring tasks to maximize time and effort

- Design and develop highly available dashboards and metrics in Quicksight incorporating Q , our business analytic tool and AI model.

- Perform business analysis and data queries using SQL

Qualifications

- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

- Knowledge of SQL

- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI or other BI packages

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience



Extended Qualifications

- Experience using very large datasets

- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
