Description

Amazon is looking for a Business Analyst to join the North America Last Mile team. This team aims to innovate a last mile delivery network of the future that manages the delivery of tens of millions of products every week to Amazon’s customers.

As you launch your career as a Business Analyst at Amazon, you will focus on improving the success within a business function by analyzing data, discovering and solving real world problems, and building metrics and business cases to improve the customer's experience.

A key component of the Business Analyst role is to identify process and system improvement opportunities by monitoring existent metrics, analyzing data, and collaborating with internal teams. This position will dive into data to drive process improvement, work with multiple stakeholders to lead end-to-end initiatives, and present findings to Senior leaders. This role requires influencing without authority. The Business Analyst will retrieve and aggregate data from multiple sources and compile it into a digestible and actionable format.

In addition, design and develop automated reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.

Key job responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end network initiatives, involving multiple stakeholders

- Advise on middle mile plans for new station launches

- Analyze data on Delivery Speed and Upstream connections using SQL, Tableau and Excel, presenting deep dives and actions to Senior leaders

- Define metrics to measure and monitor supply chain performance, inbound flows, and transportation metrics

- Interact with and influence field operations leaders using findings from deep dives

- Work with Research Scientists and Data Engineers to develop planning models to optimize for cost while meeting capacity needs

- Work with technology teams and Product Managers to develop new tools and systems to support the growth of the business

- Design and develop automated reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions



Qualifications

- 1+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

- Experience with SQL or ETL

- Experience working in supply chain



Extended Qualifications

- Experience using very large datasets

- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document

- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
