Description
Our team is looking for a strong Senior Business Analyst to help manage our growing business. We are looking for customer obsessed, data driven professionals to join our team and solve some of the hardest problems for our customers. If you want operate at start up speed and build a service that customers love, this might be the place for you.As part of the Amazon team, you will be tasked with thinking big and helping ensure leadership visibility into all the different programs we partner with. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for driving deep insights about financials, sales and marketing performance, product and customers, ultimately driving continuous improvements using the data. The person should have the ability to quickly get to the root cause of a particular business issue, and draft solutions to meet requirements or resolve the root problems. You will work closely with business leaders, BDMs, product managers, program managers and operations managers to analyze data sets, build reporting, identify areas to improve, define metrics to measure and monitor programs, and most importantly work with different stakeholders to drive improvements over time. You will also work closely with internal business teams to extract or mine information from our existing systems to create new analysis, and expose data from our group to wider teams in intuitive ways.
The ideal candidate is a motivated and multi-talented individual, highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, curious and eager to learn, team oriented, and will be able work independently. Strong dive-deep capabilities, communication skills and business sense will be required. The person needs to be at his/her ease in a fast peace environment and to face ambiguous/complex problems. Key job responsibilities
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc;
• Define the data elements and data structure that our team should leverage to enable analytical and reporting capabilities for our team;
• Design and influence operational best practices for reporting and analytics to enable the team to scale as we grow presence in new and existing territories;
• Preparing and delivering business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks;
• Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format;
• Propose the introduction of new metrics;
• Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals. Propose improvements;
• Assess entitlement, define pro’s and con’s for new initiatives.

The Amazon Key mission is to empower customers to easily manage access to their homes and businesses. To accomplish our mission, we design, manufacture, sell and maintain Access Control products using the latest home security technologies. Our technology enables Amazon Delivery Associates to securely get access to semi-public space within buildings, in order to deliver parcels. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent;- 5+ years' experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analyst role;
- Advanced Proficiency with Excel; 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience;
- Experience with SQL;
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights;
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations and to drive actions;
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities;

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
