Description
Play a leading role in operational global risk improvement at Amazon.com, where we have a tradition of leading the world in innovative technologies and services. This Business Analyst role will help business leaders make sense of complicated insurance data by building reports, analyzing complex data sets, and effectively communicating their findings to all levels of leadership.Key job responsibilities
• Retrieve and analyze insurance and claim data using Excel, SQL, Access, Tableau, and other data management systems.
• Monitor existent metrics, identify and develop new metrics, and analyze them in partnership with internal teams and external vendors to identify process and system improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement both ad hoc and recurring/automatic reporting solutions to enable stakeholders and leadership to manage the business and make effective decisions.
• Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of new and existing program implementation.
• Drive small to medium operational enhancement projects.
• Research and implement cost reduction opportunities.
About the team
Logistics Claims Management and Operations (LCMO) provides insurance and risk expertise, guidance, and management for Amazon businesses. The 3P Insurance and Claims Team within LCMO provides insurance and claims support for third-party companies or individuals who do business with Amazon.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- 3+ years experience in data reporting and analytics for auto insurance claims
Extended Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication- Ability to influence stakeholders
- Deep experience with data reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
