Description

Are you interested in a unique role that will innovate on how we grow a seller’s business on Amazon? The Seller Experience Research (SXR) team influences and defines the ways we grow sellers worldwide. Sellers deploy a wide-range of strategies, both on and off-Amazon to grow their businesses. We want to understand and become experts in those strategies and accelerate the growth of all sellers. The right candidate will have a strong drive to fundamentally change the growth trajectory of a seller’s business. The candidate will need to have a blend of core Amazon Leadership Principles, including Customer Obsession, Learn and be Curious, Dive Deep, Delivers Results, and Invent and Simplify. We value candidates that are independent operators, bring a wealth of experience to the table, and have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude that will be critical as we develop solutions.

Key job responsibilities

* Partner with SXRs to inform pre-research hypotheses, improve seller outreach through optimized query logic, and enrich their docs with more data-driven insights

* Automate survey-related reporting and improve consumability of free-form responses

* Build scalable solutions to track the performance and impact of SXR research and programs via WBR Slides, Page 0 Metrics, and QuickSight Dashboards

* Systematically surface high-impact seller insights (e.g. reasons for seller dissatisfaction and high value actions associated with Seller Central products)

* Proactively identify new data-related needs, define success metrics, design reporting wireframes, outline and drive prioritization of requirements, and establish and drive adoption of analytical best practices

About the team

The SXR team drives seller growth by working backwards from seller business strategies, experiences, and obstacles. Utilizing qualitative and quantitative seller research, we develop and deploy innovative solutions to drive growth at scale, independently, and in collaboration with partner teams. Our two job families work together to engage with sellers at each stage of their journey: 1) Seller Experience Researchers (SXRs) lead research initiatives to develop business strategies and identify and resolve seller business gaps and 2) Program Managers (PgMs) launch and scale mechanisms to collect seller feedback and disseminate research, search term, and dissatisfaction-related insights at scale. Our varying approaches to feedback and data collection enable us to create a comprehensive understanding of seller needs and opportunities, and in turn, these seller insights are used to inform decision-making across the Selling Partner Growth (SPG) organization.
