We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sr. Biz Dev Manager to join our Local Ads Partnerships team. This individual will manage some of our high impact partner relationships as we create a brand new business and revenue stream for Amazon Ads. This includes managing relationships and negotiations which need a centralized advocate, and/or have broader implications to multiple Amazon Ads business units. We are seeking an innovative, creative, analytical and strategic thinker, who is passionate about digital media and the future of local advertising. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional teams and thrives in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving. The role requires subject matter expertise in regards to digital advertising and business development experience to incorporate needs of our partners and limitations / opportunity within our advertising tech stack. This role will be highly visible with senior levels of Amazon, and will need to work collaboratively with internal management teams to understand where our relative advantages or risks lie, where new market segments and solutions should be created. The ideal candidate will combine proven experience managing and growing high-value partnerships with a deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem, in order to drive optimum value for our customers. In addition, this individual will be responsible for managing direct relationships with media partners, tracking performance against success criteria and being an internal advocate for our partners.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an exceptionally strong analytical thinker and have a strong track record of developing and executing business strategies, tactics, plans, processes, systems and programs. This individual has the ability to build and maintain a network of relationships to help navigate complex situations. They possess superior interpersonal skills, being able to earn trust with internal and external senior management. The successful candidate will have a talent for responding effectively to industry direction, customer needs and competitive positioning. They are comfortable with ambiguity and juggling multiple priorities simultaneously in fast-paced dynamic environment. They possess high levels of creativity, independence, flexibility and attention to detail. In addition, this individual will be an independent thinker who can make convincing, information-based arguments.
Key job responsibilities
- Take the lead to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage complex agreements with partners in the local advertising space
- Build and grow relationships with partners that are either already integrated with Amazon Ads or demonstrate a desire and willingness to work with us
- Engage externally with agencies, resellers, clients, and service providers to scope solutions, partnerships, and business opportunities that result in the acceleration of Amazon Ads growth
- Manage partner programs and define and implement specific mechanisms against success criteria that will evolve as we grow
- Work closely with the Sales team to be a key contributor to strategy and the go-to-market approach
- Partner with Product/Tech teams internally and externally at partner companies to enable automation, and drive adoption of Amazon's media and AdTech solutions
- Work cross-functionally (e.g., Marketing, Legal, Yield) to manage bottlenecks, balance internal business vs. external partner needs, and identify opportunities that can drive growth for the local advertising business
Qualifications
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Extended Qualifications
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations- Experience in Media & Advertising with strong industry connections

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
