As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE), you'll be at the forefront of transforming our video supply chain through data-driven innovation. This unique role bridges the gap between technical expertise and business strategy, making you instrumental in shaping how millions of customers experience our content delivery.
You'll architect and own sophisticated streaming analytics solutions, leveraging your deep understanding of data infrastructure to solve complex supply chain challenges. Unlike traditional BI roles, you'll go beyond reporting to become a strategic advisor, using your expertise in streaming services and analytics tools to guide critical business decisions that directly impact content quality and delivery.

Key job responsibilities
Here's what you'll do in this role:
• Turn complex business challenges into practical data solutions that actually work
• Build and maintain smart data systems that help teams make better decisions
• Get deep into our data using SQL, ETL, and Redshift to find insights that help us serve customers better
• Team up with data engineers to create reliable data pipelines and architecture
• Work closely with scientists to test your insights and turn them into real improvements
• Help shape our data strategy and research plans
• Guide and mentor other analysts on the team

A day in the life
A Sr. BIE will be expected to own analyses and reporting solutions for the team. You will be a leader for the Video Supply Chain organization on what direction the business ought to move towards in order to best provide our customers with high-quality content.
About the team
We are a core business intelligence and analytics team within the Video supply chain. Our structure and scope however is a hybrid model and we collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Data Science to build technical solutions to problems that affect our business partners. We seek to optimize the supply chain and help provide the highest standard of Video streaming content to our customers.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional or military experience- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
Extended Qualifications
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
