Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. Key job responsibilities
As a Business Intelligence Engineer on the team, you will work closely with cross-functional counterparts in engineering, product management, and marketing to drive strategic decisions with data and set up reporting capabilities for our international video streaming service.

Key responsibilities include:

Establish goals, plans, and related metrics; track progress; and manage through obstacles to achieve program objectives
Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.
Define the structure of our reporting mechanisms and dashboards for key metrics to illustrate and communicate organizationally on the progress against goals
Utilize database and reporting technologies, including SQL, ETL, Redshift, Quicksight, Tableau etc. to design and develop impactful analyses and reporting.
Manage and execute the full development life cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance.
About the team
Prime Video’s Global App Experience – Product Analytics (GAE-PA) team leads engagement analytics for all Prime Video app experiences across mobile, living room, web, automotive, and VR platforms. We own 70+ core metrics used by 300+ PMs to drive key decisions and support multiple strategic company goals. As the dedicated analytics partner for the GAE product org, we focus on scalable data foundations, causal attribution, and GenAI-powered insights to accelerate decision-making and customer impact.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Extended Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
