Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly experienced Business Development (BD) professional to join our Industry & Strategic Business Development team focused on Games, eSports, Betting and Gaming, and content monetization. This leader will be responsible for working across Amazon to build strategic partnerships with customers, often in first-of-a-kind motions. This is a unique opportunity to join a tight-knit and deeply-networked group that grows strategic customer relationships through Amazon-wide collaborations.

As a Principal BD, you will be responsible for generating, managing, and executing complex cross-Amazon partnership activities. Our projects are unconventional and high-impact in nature, require a centralized advocate to succeed, and deliver value for AWS, other Amazon businesses and our customers.

This business development leader will solve complex, multi-faceted problems and work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. They will meet customer needs while serving AWS and other Amazon business units. They will negotiate with customers and partners, and lead internally through influence. They will possess talent for combining data and vision into a compelling partnership story, that excites internal and external stakeholders at the highest levels, driving action and results.

Key job responsibilities

Leading cross-Amazon initiatives across the Games/Gaming industry market segment.

Leading through influence seamlessly across internal and external teams.

Communicating effectively with diverse business, technical, and executive audiences.

Analyzing business models to go deep on customer needs.

Developing an array of partnership constructs, including: technical, go-to-market and sponsorship/brand and more.

Taking the lead to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage partnerships that can involve marketing, content, commerce, and technology components.

Evaluating the economic and strategic cost-benefit of partnerships.

Developing best practices to foster, manage, and track opportunities.

A day in the life

This leader will work closely with customers in the industry segments, AWS account teams, and executive-level Amazon stakeholders across various business units to identify opportunities where bringing together capabilities from across Amazon will help customers, transform existing ones, or address new market segment opportunities. The BD will lead working backward sessions with customers to further define customer needs and vision, write Press Release-Frequently Asked Questions (PR-FAQ) documents to champion new ideas, and, in concert with AWS account teams, build new partnership models that drive impact. Qualifications

- 10+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

- 10+ years of professional or military experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level



Extended Qualifications

- Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner

- Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations

- Experience developing impactful first of a kind partnerships in the Media, Entertainment, Sports, or Games industries.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
