Estimated salary: $110,900
Range: $82,700 - $139,100
Description
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides a highly reliable, scalable, and low-cost cloud platform that powers thousands of businesses in over 190 countries. AWS’ Infrastructure Supply Chain & Procurement (ISCaP) organization works to deliver solutions to source, build and maintain our socially responsible data center supply chains. We are a team of highly-motivated, engaged, and responsive professionals who enable the core sustainable infrastructure of AWS.
As a Materials Manager, you'll be the go-to person ensuring our manufacturing partners have what they need, when they need it. Think of it as being a problem-solver, data detective, and strategic partner all rolled into one.
What Makes This Role Different
- Real autonomy: We're looking for self-starters who thrive in ambiguity. If you need someone to tell you exactly what to do every day, this isn't it. If you love figuring things out and owning the solution end-to-end, you'll crush it here.
- Data-driven culture: Your analysis will directly influence executive decisions. We don't just collect data—we use it to move billions of dollars of infrastructure.
- Diverse team: You'll collaborate with software engineers, hardware specialists, security experts, and supply chain pros from all backgrounds. Bold ideas are welcomed, and you'll have the support to see them through.
Key job responsibilities
Your Day-to-Day Impact:
- Own real outcomes: Partner directly with vendors to crush supply constraints and build automated solutions that scale
- Build tools that matter: Design dashboards and analytics that drive million-dollar decisions (yes, people will actually use what you create)
- Shape strategy: Work alongside engineers, ops managers, and leadership to define how AWS sources and delivers infrastructure
- Move fast: Juggle multiple high-impact projects in an environment where your ideas can go from concept to implementation in weeks, not years
- Level up continuously: Dive deep into technical requirements, influence cross-functional teams, and develop expertise that makes you invaluable
A day in the life
What You Bring
- Analytical firepower: You're comfortable diving into complex datasets and emerging with clear insights
- Communication skills: You can write executive summaries and lead reviews with senior leaders
- Bias for action: You get things done at pace, hit deadlines, and adapt when priorities shift
- Curiosity: You don't just execute—you want to understand the "why" behind the business
- Track record: You've used data to influence decision-makers and drive real change
