This individual will collaborate effectively with internal end-users and cross-functional data teams to solve problems, build & own internal products, and deliver successfully against high standards. A successful individual is a person that has a proven work ethic that drives the desired results. This is a hands-on position - the ideal candidate must be willing to “roll up the sleeves”. This position will work with several stakeholders supporting the extended AWS Global Sales organization including Front-line sales, Business Development, Marketing, Professional Services, Enterprise Support, Training and Certification and the Partner team. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical personas, as well as across other geographies. This role will focus on developing & delivering solutions that support and enhance the SMGS analytics teams using AWS Services, Tableau Cloud, & Salesforce.Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate can:
- Identify key insights from data and deliver actionable recommendations to support strategic objectives.
- Lead AWS BI Platform migration for SMGS organization
- Operate as BI Platform Community of Practice leader for SMGS
- Foster & develop partnerships with external AWS Partners to co-develop & deliver solutions
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of analytics products to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Gather and articulate customer stories to inform product development and demonstrate value to stakeholders.
- Implement iterative deployment strategies and continuous improvement processes to enhance product performance and user satisfaction.
About the team
The Sales Insights, Analytics, Data Engineering & Science (SIADS) team is one of seven functions within the AWS Global Sales Operations organization, and is the single source of truth for all data, insights, dashboards, and KPIs critical to run the business.
SIADS is responsible for five key priorities:
- Modernize core data infrastructure and datasets to support planned business growth.
- Provide the right insights to the right people at the right time, in a secure, scalable manner.
- Simplify navigation to single source of truth insights products that deliver actionable guidance.
- Leverage AI/ML models to pinpoint timely insights and actionable recommendations.
- Build high performing teams by recruiting, hiring, onboarding and developing top-talent to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.- 5+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, machine learning, and business intelligence, with expertise in BI tools and technologies such as Tableau.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
Extended Qualifications
- Proficient in SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.- Proficient in Tableau; experienced with Tableau Cloud features
- Experience owning/driving product roadmap strategy and vision
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experienced with end to end product management, feature delivery, & smart tradeoffs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
