Estimated salary: $138,650

Description
The Manufacturing Process Engineer serves as the technical backbone of the Nadir production line, owning the documented, optimized, and continuously improved processes that enable every technician to build with precision and confidence. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining Work Order Templates (WOTs), Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), and all associated build documentation to the highest standards in quality, accuracy to design, and efficiency.Working in a hybrid environment—approximately 50–60% engineering workspace and 40–50% production floor—the Process ME bridges the gap between design engineering intent and manufacturing execution. This engineer leads Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews, identifies design-to-manufacturing gaps during NPI phases, and partners with Responsible Engineers to evaluate manufacturability tradeoffs.
Quality ownership is a critical dimension of this role. The Process ME owns Non-Conformance (NC) trend analysis, facilitates Leo Quality Review (LQR) meetings, and leads root cause investigations using methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D to drive systemic corrective actions.
This engineer also leads rate readiness efforts through time studies, capacity analyses, and labor standard setting. They drive Kaizen events, develop build strategies for rate scale-up milestones, and remove systemic flow constraints. SAP/MES data integrity—including mBOM accuracy and production versions—falls within their ownership. The Process ME serves as the primary technical liaison between Process ME and Front Line Support (FLS) functions, driving feedback loops between the floor and documentation team to anticipate process risk.
Key job responsibilities
Own and continuously improve WOTs, SWIs, and process documentation across multiple process areas, setting standards and coaching MEs on best practices
Lead DFM reviews for assigned assemblies, proactively identifying design-to-manufacturing gaps and driving design changes to resolution
Own NC trend analysis and drive systemic corrective actions using structured root cause methods (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D) across multiple process areas
Lead line optimization and rate readiness efforts including time studies, capacity analyses, and labor standard setting for assigned production areas
Own SAP/MES data integrity across multiple process areas and develop floor stock strategies for new builds and rate changes
Serve as primary technical liaison between Process ME and FLS ME functions, driving structured feedback loops between the floor and documentation team
Identify, propose, and execute continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen events, GSE requests, and engineering change proposals
Solve complex cross-functional process and quality problems with broad organizational impact, independently structuring ambiguous problems into actionable solutions
Develop and execute build strategy for rate scale-up milestones, identifying and removing systemic flow constraints
Communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences and deliver structured presentations at cross-functional forums such as DFM reviews, rate readiness briefings, and KQR
