JOB DESCRIPTION The AWS Hardware Engineering team is driving rapid innovation in the server and storage infrastructure used by Amazon Web Services. Our designs are fundamentally changing the data center, providing operational and financial benefits that are critical to the success of the AWS business and its millions of customers. Our Software Engineers solve challenging technology problems, and take big bets on new concepts, enabling AWS services to continue to revolutionize the industry. We are currently looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to lead the design and implementation of automated software systems to test, deploy, and operate the storage infrastructure solutions that will support AWS world scale compute and storage systems. The ideal candidate for this role will be an innovative self-starter seasoned in building software infrastructure for continuous development, automated testing, and release management. You will collaborate with internal and external development
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent · 5+ years of experience developing continuous development and test automation infrastructure. · 5+ years' experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash etc.) · Hands-on experience with Linux kernel and user space software development.· Experience developing test automation tools and frameworks for validation of server, storage, and/or SSD-based systems. · Hands-on experience with build and release management tools and automation. · Knowledge and operational experience with storage, networking, and large-scale distributed systems.
