OneDrive and SharePoint are rapidly-growing services at the center of Microsoft's cloud, reaching across the entire ecosystem and touching millions of users. The SCI-FI Infrastructure Services team is responsible for foundational service components that support SharePoint Online including Networking, Active Directory, and DFSR. The focus for the team includes ensuring the run state health, resilience, and performance of these systems as well as new features, optimizing for reduced alerting, and increased automation. investments include work in Network bandwidth consumption patterns and telemetry, next generation monitoring, and configuration management. This Engineering Manager role will focus on software development and investments to allow the service components to continue to grow at scale and maintain full reliability and performance. This Engineering Manager role will focus on software development and investments to allow the service components to continue to grow at scale and maintain full reliability and performance. We're looking for someone who loves solving problems and exploring innovative ways to adopt new approaches and technology, while working with peers from across the organization and company. This can range from telemetry and monitoring investments to writing new auto-healing code and working with our Operational Intelligence team to determine new data streams and AI that can predict capacity needs.
Required qualifications: BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent. 8+ years of Professional Software design and development experience with at least one of C/C++/C#/Java/etc. Prior experience with developing large high-volume services, with service-oriented development and cloud-based systems.   Demonstrated commitment to the success of others, as a leader in the team you will be expected to mentor and manage junior developers.   Strong technical abilities, problem solving, design, rapid prototyping, coding and debugging skills.   Good communication skills and a track record
