This position is responsible for GAAP accounting results for the Capital Markets portfolio which includes working with Microsoft's third-party accounting agent, and participation in the implementation of new accounting policy. In addition, this position will support the Treasury group's implementation of new systems, investment programs, and provide financial reporting and analysis to the Corporate Controller and Treasurer.
Ensure accuracy and completeness in the data collection and verification processes necessary to account for and report all investment portfolio activity. Coordinate the analysis and reconciliation of Treasury-related corporate income and balance sheet accounts, including cash, investments, FX gain/loss, etc. to detail records and bank/custodian. Drive communications and process improvements with Microsoft's third-party accounting agent. Prepare Management reports and provide related financial information for footnotes and disclosures in Microsoft's 10-Q/K. Support the Corporate Controller's organization
