The PlayReady Deployment team, as part of the Intellectual Property Group within CELA is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager who is truly passionate about enabling entertainment platforms that fuel next generation 3 screens experiences. The PlayReady technology enables premium video and entertainment experiences in Windows, XBOX, and Edge in addition to other platforms and devices running on Android and iOS. It's one of the few places at Microsoft where you can be part of building out technology solutions that's an integral part of a complete eco-system, from top to bottom. The PlayReady Deployment team is in charge of delivering and commercializing a set of technologies developed by the Windows engineering team. The list of technologies includes (but not limited to) Microsoft media codecs, and next generation digital rights management (DRM) technology, called PlayReady.

As a member of the PlayReady Deployment team, you will work closely with the Business Development Managers and the Windows/Azure engineering teams to support customers in both pre- and post-sales engagements. Specific responsibilities include: Manage external customer and partner technical relationships Act as front-line technical contact for strategic customers and partners Assist and debug development issues for released and pre-release technologies Present PlayReady and other component technologies to customers and partners Prepare or help prepare technology demos Present technology and services
Technical degree (Computer Science, Engineering or a related field) 5 Years of experience with managing customer technical engagements (i.e. pre- or post-sales engineering support roles) Deep understanding and expertise with content protection technologies (DRM) and other digital media technologies making up the media stack (EME, HTML5, etc.) Experience and successful track record of working with studios, operators, Content/Service providers, and OEMs on their digital media services and solutions. Strong communication and presentation skills
