As the Director of Consumer Products Retail Development, you will succeed by being the Minecraft and retail expert on the consumer, competition, business drivers, partners, and trends. This position is a great opportunity for a candidate who has both consumer and retail marketing experience and is a fun, challenging and diverse position. Create and drive the implementation of Minecraft's mid-to long-term strategic consumer product goals at retail. Develops strategy and drives execution of expanded retail programs and opportunities, leveraging the full suite of Minecraft products, services, and experiences. Develops, leads, and builds consensus for short and long-term retail program strategies for Minecraft's merchandise, accessory and publishing businesses Responsible for cultivating and owning long-term relationships with retailers at executive and buyer level to create impactful promotional opportunities around Minecraft Consumer
Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, and/or retail program development and execution Broad understanding of sales, marketing, finance, legal, and general business practices Preferred video game and merchandise business knowledge. 7+ years of experience leading a team with direct reports. Prior experience building brands and developing a new business unit. Highly collaborative, with proven experience generating business results with a diverse team Passionate about Minecraft and the Minecraft community Bachelor's degree MBA preferred
