Amazon Mechanical Turk is an internet marketplace that provides access to an on-demand, scalable workforce to complete jobs that humans can do better than computers. Common use cases include image recognition, audio transcription, machine learning algorithm training, sentiment analysis, data normalization, and surveys. At any given time, there are hundreds of thousands of jobs (called Human Intelligence Tasks, or “HITs”) available in the system. We operate as a startup within Amazon, providing great flexibility in product and technology direction. Amazon Mechanical Turk is looking for a Principal Technical Business Development Manager to define and lead our strategy to increase adoption of our marketplace by driving both supply and demand and continue making MTurk the world's largest marketplace for human intelligence. The ideal candidate will have market development and business development experience in building businesses that enable users to build scalable and secure web applications
· 5+ years of experience working in a business development role and/or sales role to enterprises or government agencies · 5+ years of experience working with emerging Solutions and Providers including a solid understanding of cloud computing technology · 10+ years of Product Management, Business development and program management experience. · Exceptional verbal and written communications skills in English including strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences. · 10+ years of business experience and customer-facing skills to interact at
