The Networking India team contributes to critical components of this system and is seeking engineers to design and deliver next-generation software services that scale, secure, and monitor the networking infrastructure. In this role, you will design, implement, and operate highly scalable distributed services that enable networking for millions of services with precision and reliability. Responsibilities
- Partner with Microsoft product teams to manage dependencies, jointly deliver updates, and continuously improve our engineering capabilities. - Own end to end architecture for new product solutions being developed. - Passion to turn vision into detailed plans and execute against complex plans. - Clearly communicate roadmap, backlog, and team updates across the organization. - Contribute to a team culture that embraces diversity and inclusion and makes your team an awesome place to work. - Setting up and driving towards measurable goals.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, OR Java, JavaScript, or Python - OR equivalent experience. - 1+ year(s) experience applying core computer science principles, including: - Multi-threading and asynchronous programming. - System design, data structures, and algorithm development. - 1+ year(s) experience working with distributed systems and scale-out architectures. - 1+ year(s) experience in cloud development practices, including: - Loosely coupled architectures. - Microservices design patterns. Other Requirements: - Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  - Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science - OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, OR Python - OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python - OR equivalent experience. - 1+ year(s) experience with networking domain concepts, including: - Virtualization technologies, container ecosystems, and network resilience. - Enterprise network architectures and cloud networking offerings such as virtual networks, Layer 4 to Layer 7 load balancers, and gateways. - 1+ year(s) experience building networking data and control planes, with familiarity in: - Data plane technologies such as Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK) and Vector Packet Processing (VPP). - 1+ year(s) experience collaborating across teams, including: - Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective partnerships.
