AWS Data Center Global Services is seeking a Technical Program Manager to manage and deliver projects relating to data center automation and Building Management Systems. In this role you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large datacenter technology projects end-to-end. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers and vendors, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and working with the implementation teams to plan the incorporation of your project into our datacenters. You will lead and coordinate design / implementation efforts to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-deliver, manage risk, and clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams. · 5+ years experience managing complex technology projects from design through delivery · Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years equivalent work experience · Familiarity vendor relationship management and technical hardware solution co-development · Strong understanding of data center power and cooling systems · 4+ years experience delivering projects in the datacenter environment · Experience driving large, cross-organization initiatives · Strong understanding of UNIX/Linux operating systems · Proven ability to operate effectively in high pressure situations and successfully handle multiple competing priorities
