Azure IoT is on the forefront of today's cloud business and driving new technology trends and scenarios. A critical component in many Internet of Things scenarios is location-awareness, and allowing our customers to leverage that will create whole new ways of doing business. Azure IoT and Azure Maps will lead that charge, and we are looking for engineers to join us and imagine new uses and opportunities that are unlocked when Azure has a rich set of Mapping and Location Services in the cloud --- aiding in scenarios that include device geospatial analytics, Connected Cars, Commerical IoT Automation and Insights, Home Automation, Fleet Management, Autonomous Drones and more. The Azure Maps team is a growing team and we need highly motivated and talented engineers to design and deliver platforms and solutions that enable rapid adoption of these services. Working on a team building, releasing and supporting systems for providing Maps and Location Services to Azure customers. We are building everything from large scalable online services, backend data processing, to a variety of smart client SDKs - leveraging a wide range of technologies. Integrating our features with infrastructure which make us successful within Azure - the build/test/release cycle, monitoring security and compliance.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of technical engineering experience (C++/C# or Java programming). Preferred Qualifications: Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or 5 years of equivalent industry experience. Experience with maps, geographical information systems or geoanalytics a plus. Demonstrated experience building scalable services. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
