The Operations Technology Infrastructure Engineering group is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to own a software and hardware platform used in Amazon fulfillment. The platform supports enterprise tablets for use in Amazon fulfillment centers, but is rapidly expanding to additional devices. This platform allows other software teams to deploy applications into production without having to reinvent the wheel related to the underlying hardware and software management. We are looking for a Software Development Manager who is excited about leading a talented team to innovate, tackle complex problems and operate a complex and mission critical system. You will
· Proven track record of hiring and managing high performing software development teams. Good judge of top software engineering talent, and ability to grow their careers · Have 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years managing development teams · Have a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive · Proven experience working with senior leadership and experience influencing and delivering on product roadmaps · Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
