Interested in making an impact on how AWS operates? As the SDM for AWS Security, you’ll build and own a new service that's going to change how AWS operates securely at scale. Your team's mission is to provide a highly scalable and available service across all AWS regions where any AWS operator or developer can launch, use tools securely in all AWS production regions. Key Responsibilities: · Work closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design. · Continually improve operational excellence. · Collaborate with product management on the roadmap and delivery dates. · Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment · Hire and Developer the engineers for a “two pizza” team. · Grow the product so its available to both AWS and our customers. · Collaborate with other AWS teams for features that cut across AWS! · Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance. · Engage with customers and other AWS partners
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline. · 6+ years of relevant engineering experience. · 3+ years people management experience. · Experience with modern programming languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript). · Track record of innovation. · Deep hands-on technical expertise with established skills in designing and developing solutions to complex problems in a distributed systems environment. · Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. · A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a
