The Selection team in SCOT (Supply Chain Optimization Technology) is looking for a passionate and talented Software Engineer with an interest data science to help build industry-leading causal inference and machine learning solutions. Our mission is to analyze and understand customer behaviors to optimize for Amazon’s long-term profitability. As a Software Engineer on our team, you will collaborate with Software Engineers and Scientists to research, develop, and deploy models and services at large scale. Your work will directly impact important decisions in Amazon’s Supply Chain such as which item should be kept in-stock, which item should be offered at faster delivery speed. You will leverage Amazon’s rich data sources and large-scale computing resources build systems that process tera-bytes of data to make decision on every item in the Amazon webstore worldwide.
· Bachelors (BS/BE) or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent · Practical knowledge of data structures and complex algorithms with equivalent development skills to match · Proficiency in Java or equivalent object-oriented languages, coupled with design and service oriented architecture · Deep problem-solving skills and ability to resolve ambiguous requirements · Demonstrated experience in SQL and data modeling skills· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal · Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers · Knowledge of
