The Central Control Plane team designs, develops and operates the software that manages the DynamoDB fleets and coordinates fleetwide resource allocation. We coordinate the efforts of many thousands of servers in a highly dynamic environment. We build data pipelines, and perform data analysis to get the most out of our fleet. We need developers who can handle hard distributed systems problems as well as hard resource optimization problems. As a tier zero Amazon service that is growing at a very high rate our solutions have to be super solid, scalable,
· BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience · Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design and problem solving · 1+ years of professional experience in software development · Experience developing large-scale applications using a modern object-oriented programming language such as Java, C/C++, Ruby, or Python · Excellent verbal and written communication skills· Experience working in an Agile software development organization · Interest in distributed systems · Interest in storage systems (NoSQL and distributed caching systems · Excellent communication
