Software Development Engineer - Kinesis Video Streams Kinesis Video Streams (KVS) makes it easy to securely stream video from connected devices to AWS for playback, analytics, machine learning (ML), and other processing. KVS automatically provisions and elastically scales all the infrastructure needed to ingest streaming video data from millions of devices. It also durably stores, encrypts, and indexes video data in your streams, and allows you to access your data through easy-to-use APIs. KVS enables you to quickly build computer vision and ML applications through integration with Amazon Rekognition Video, Amazon SageMaker and frameworks such as Apache MxNet, TensorFlow, and OpenCV. We are looking for a Software Engineer to build video transport solutions across a range of networks and protocols. Video ingestion encompasses embedded software which lives on video-producing devices such as IP cameras, smart phones, and robots as well as cloud-based software for video streaming. You will
· 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience · Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design · 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems. · Experience with video streaming protocols, video compression, computer vision · Experience building and operating online services and fault-tolerant distributed systems · Graduate degree (MS/PhD) a plus · Demonstrated ability to deliver results and hit stretch
