We are searching for a strong self-driven Senior Program Manager for Microsoft's Defender Research team. Microsoft Defender Research is a global team of anti-malware researchers, advanced threat hunters, and agile malware responders at the forefront of protecting Windows and the Microsoft ecosystem from emerging malware threats such as ransomware, phishing, and data theft. We power protection in products like Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection, Edge, Office 365, Azure, and more. We are an industry leading threat research lab that responds to customer issues with malware and use cutting edge anti-malware techniques to help keep our customers safe. Bring people and teams together across disciplines and across Microsoft to develop ideas and concepts to further protection value through research/features (spanning UX and service) and drive quick prototypes Frame the problems we want to go after, get team alignment and commitments along with measurements, and drive the execution that ensure we are delivering a valuable solution. Detail the design, scenarios, and engineering of next generation research productivity including tools and backend services for malware classification. Work with Engineering and Design leads to create a plan, get dependencies
Qualification Requirements 5+ years of experience in a technical or engineer program management position. In Addition, Ideal Candidates Will Have Good understanding of security, malware threat, network and desktop operating systems, cosmos, database systems Consistently practices strong organizational, communication, project management, negotiation, and problem solving skills. Contributes to team operational precision and industry visibility through active community presence Good communication skills and an eye for detail. Able to perform well under pressure, particularly in emergency response
