The Amazon Device and Accessories team is seeking a TPM (Technical Program Manager) manager who is customer obsessed and believes that there is always an opportunity for improving the way customers discover, evaluate, and purchase products. You should have experience building and leading/ mentoring a team of highly motivated individuals, who are critical to the success of the business. Our engineering team works with exceptional partners including UX design, product management, product marketing and merchandising, customer service, and other development groups to create the best possible online experience for discovering and purchasing Amazon’s Alexa enabled products, Fire Tablets, Kindle E-Readers, Fire TV, and much more. We need someone who can not only drive the roadmap, delivering on high impacting initiatives, but can help create the vision behind it. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or multiple competing priorities
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field · 10+ years of relevant program management experience · 3+ years of relevant people management experience · Experience in delivering Amazon-scale systems · An understanding of distributed and service-oriented architectures. · Proven analytical thinking, skills in metrics creation and project management, attention to details, and exceptional organizational skills · Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code
