The Services Controllership team, part of the Corporate Finance and Services Organization (CFS), contributes directly to this mission by designing and delivering financial capabilities for compliant, scalable and profitable growth. The Operations Finance Team (OpsFin) team is looking for an experienced GAAP revenue accountant to help build a revenue contract review and technical accounting program to support the Microsoft Services business. You will work alongside Services controllers providing technical revenue accounting advice and guidance and developing a program to further technical revenue accounting capabilities. This role will play a key role in driving compliant revenue recognition for Microsoft Services by conducting revenue contract reviews, identifying

Responsibilities: (1) Contract Reviews and Technical Consultations (up to 65%) Review Services and other contractual arrangements in accordance with US GAAP to identify language that may require non-standard accounting treatment. Be a subject matter expert providing technical advice to business partners on revenue recognition in order to influence deal structures to maximize revenue for the company. Partner with corporate accounting, , sales teams and operations groups to understand and resolve issues identified in the contractual arrangement reviews. Collaborate with counterparts in Dublin and
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Qualified CPA / other relevant Professional qualification Minimum 5 - 8 years of related work experience in a large industry or public accounting firm. Demonstrated strong technical US GAAP knowledge, with emphasis on Revenue Recognition. Demonstrated solid judgment and ability to work on ambiguous issues and come to a reasonable and well-supported conclusion. Excel and Power BI based data analysis proficiency Ability to design efficient, repeatable accounting processes Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to work under tight deadlines.
