Amazon seeks an experienced Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in building technical solutions and developing an analytical environment to support the WW Amazon Devices business. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most transformative businesses at Amazon and to support all Device categories including Echo, Kindle, Fire Tablets, Fire TV, Emerging Products as well as Accessories globally. As a data engineer, you will operate in a fast-paced, global, result-oriented environment by stretching your technical skills, using in-house and third-party technologies, designing large database architectures, creating actionable and scalable data solutions, and developing a comprehensive financial reporting platform. Your work will have a direct impact on the day-to-day decision making and operational planning processes within the Devices Finance organization. A successful candidate will be a self-starter and creative problem solver who have strong understanding of data systems and
· Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Information system, Statistics, Business Intelligence, etc.). · 5+ years’ industry experience as a Data Engineer or in a related field (Database Administrator, Business Intelligence Engineer, Computer Science, etc.) with a strong track record of working with large and unstructured datasets. · Advanced query performance tuning skills in SQL (analytical functions) and coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Ruby, Java, etc.). · Hands-on experience in building/operating
