Microsoft Advertising is the economic engine driving monetization of search and consumer services across Microsoft and strategic partners. Our team is building new strategic ad products and experiences, tailored for segments such as Travel, Retail, Automotive and Local, by leveraging business data from advertisers and Microsoft's AI technologies. These products will make it easier for our users to easily discover commercial content, drive long term growth for advertisers; and become major revenue drivers for Microsoft. We are looking for a star Program Manager (with heavy focus on Data Science) with excellent academic and industry track record to shape the product through data-driven insights, and drive products forward. In particular, ad products for verticals such as Travel, Tours and Activities, Automotive, Retail, Local Service, Finance, etc. This role requires a candidate with a strong technology background and experience in data science with demonstrated success in using data analytics,

* Perform hands-on data analysis, using large data sets (using Cosmos, Scope) to identify opportunities on what to build next in the product roadmap * Perform data modeling for informing algorithm design, data driven estimation and prediction models for informing sales (advertising demand generation) processes * Collaborate with the wider Engineering, Business, Sales and Product teams to inform, influence, and support product decisions using data-based recommendations * Quantify business impact and ROI of new product launches * Build dashboards (Power BI) and reports to monitor key product metrics
* Master's degree in computer science, engineering, business or related fields * 5+ year experience in technology product management or data science roles * Experience in working with and manipulating large data sets (Cosmos, Hadoop, SQL) * Development experience in any scripting language (R, Python, Perl) * Successful track record in generating data-driven insights and product shaping through insights * Good understanding of and experience in designing and developing large distributed systems dependent on big data * Experience with communicating results to leadership and product teams to influence
