The Last Mile team helps get packages from delivery stations to a customer’s doorstep. To provide new innovations for customers, we are inventing the next-generation smart delivery operation. We are combining cutting-edge IoT technologies (sensors, embedded devices, wearables, and robotics), data streams (video, vehicle telematics, location, and presence), together with machine learning models and algorithms – all to create solutions that allow us to deliver faster, and with more confidence. Playing a key role in the IoT team, as a Mobile Software Development Engineer you will be responsible for developing solutions using Android or iOS, accessing and utilizing the arrays of sensors on these devices. You will fully understand the user experience of designing mobile applications, including the UI delivered to the customer, integration with the underlying OS and platform-based SDKs, and considerations for the experience with regards to CPU, storage, networking (especially handling transient
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields · 10+ years in developing multi-threaded mobile applications · Experience in utilizing mobile design patterns, building mobile frameworks/SDKs, building custom UX widgets and optimizing apps for performance · Expert knowledge of Android/iOS development · Expert knowledge of Android/iOS architecture, performance optimization, and security · Excellent oral and written communication skills· Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields · Experience in developing both mobile app and its backend
