Are you a leader with a passion for growing and developing a UX designers? Join Amazon's Consumables team and help us create a new innovative experiences for millions of customers shopping everyday products. At Amazon we put our customer’s first in everything we do and simplifying and customizing the shopping journey is a focus. You will manage a small team of UX designers in Seattle. You will lead the design of multiple products and your vision will change how customers shop and discover great products on Amazon, potentially breaking new ground for the entire industry. Your work will be mobile first, but you should be passionate about expanding features to create true multi-device experiences that move seamlessly with the customer. We invest in each of our team members by mentoring, coaching and helping them build their unique careers. You are strategic and highly collaborative. You help set a strategic UX vision for the products you oversee, while enacting operating mechanisms for your
· Degree in design, HCI or related fields · Minimum of 8 years of related work experience; 4 or more in leadership roles · Proven ability to work cross-team, synthesize feedback and input from business leaders, customer research/analytics and to design creative solutions · Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to gracefully defend your team’s design decisions · Desire to work in a start-up style environment, where iteration and learning is encouraged · A comprehensive online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating past experience of relevant, user-centered
