Amazon’s Consumer Forecasting team is looking for Applied Scientists to join our efforts to build the next generation of analytics systems at Amazon. You will identify and execute on high impact projects end to end. You will communicate analyses and results to executive leadership backed by data and coupled with actionable conclusions to drive business decisions. The Data Scientist will be a technical player in developing new analytical approaches, design efficient data querying and modeling infrastructure. You need to be fluid in: · Data warehousing and EMR (SQL, Hive, Pig, Spark) · Statistical analysis and algorithms. · Experimental design and testing. • Bachelor Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science Engg., Systems Engg., Statistics • Experience in SQL, R or Python. • 3+ years of experience with relevant technologies, enterprise reporting systems, data analytics. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audience. • Experience in creating data driven visualizations to describe an end-to-end system • Previous experience in a ML or data scientist role with a large technology company
