Amazon Worldwide Operations’ (WWOps) Learning and Talent Management (LTM) Team guides the talent strategy and invents solutions that improve mean levels of performance for the largest workforce within Amazon, one of the fastest growing companies in the world. LTM develops science-based processes and tools; identifies and develops high-potential talent to fill future organizational needs; onboards new employees both at scale; and provides lifecycle leadership and functional learning solutions. WWOps is comprised of hundreds of thousands of Amazon employees across multiple global order fulfillment, transportation, corporate, and customer service organizations. As an Applied Scientist on our Talent Strategy Team, you will be part of the team that will shape the strategic direction and inform talent decisions at the highest levels of Worldwide Operations, helping us to become the world’s most scientific and technically proficient Human Resource organization. You are a Machine Learning Scientist

· Masters in machine learning (or in a highly related area) or equivalent experience · Practical experience in applying fundamental machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems · Experience with modifying standard algorithms (e.g. changing objectives, working-out the math, implementing and scaling) · 5+ years in one or more major programming languages (Python, Java, C++, C, Perl/Ruby, etc.) · 5+ years broad research experience.· PhD in machine learning (or in a highly related area) or equivalent experience
