Merch by Amazon is looking for an Applied Scientist to help use data science and machine learning to unblock pain points and optimize the experience for our designers and customers. Responsibilities include: · Utilize Deep Learning, NLP, and other ML techniques to understand and keep a high bar for our designers and designs · Optimize our on-demand fulfillment processes to delight customers with quick, scalable delivery · Identify and serve the most relevant content to designers, brands, and customers · Investigate and design data driven solutions for challenging business problems · Build and maintain high quality automated machine learning and data pipelines to minimize operational efforts,
· MS in Statistics, Computer Science, or an experimental social science field (such as Psychology or Behavioral Economics), or a BS with 4+ years of relevant work experience · 4+ years of hands-on experience in predictive modeling and analysis · 4+ years hands-on experience programming in Python, Java, C++ or other similar programming languages · Proficiency in model development, model validation, implementation, and monitoring for large-scale machine learning applications · Proficiency in extracting, querying, and conducting analysis of data in data in tabular formats using one of the following:
