In the Alexa AI group, we work on building Alexa features to surprise, delight, and inform our customers about Alexa. We design, build, deploy, operate, and iterate on core Alexa features that are loved by our customers worldwide. We are seeking a talented, self-directed Applied scientist to build new features that will improve the Alexa customer experience. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, fast growing business. You will be working on one of the world's most cutting edge customer experience and technology. · PhD in Computer Science (Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, or equivalent); · 4+ years of practical experience applying ML to solve complex problems; · Experience using Java, C++, or other programming language, as well as with R, MATLAB, Python or similar scripting language; · Experience distilling informal customer requirements into problem definitions, dealing with ambiguity and competing objectives · Experience delivering systems into production.· More than 4 years of industrial/academic experience in building ontology mapping and extraction models · Extensive practical experience in several
