Description
The Worldwide Public Sector Industry Solutions Sales Lead is a pivotal role within Microsoft’s Industry Sales organization, responsible for driving alignment, consistency, and impact across industry verticals. The Solution Sales Lead partners closely with Regional Business Leaders and Industry Advisors, field teams, engineering, marketing, and partners to curate, activate, and scale industry solutions that accelerate customer digital transformation and cloud adoption.This role requires deep industry expertise, a proven track record in solution selling, and the ability to orchestrate complex, cross-functional initiatives. The SSE Leader is recognized as a thought leader, coach, and trusted advisor to both internal and external stakeholders, opening doors to executive engagements and shaping Microsoft’s industry narrative.

Engage with customers alongside Industry Advisors (IAs) and field account teams, conducting executive briefings and building trusted relationships at the C-suite level.Anticipate and articulate customer needs through deep industry and market knowledge, delivering industry strategies that align with Microsoft’s priorities.Sponsor select executive relationships, delivering industry relevance and driving business outcomes.Lead the development and execution of strategic enablement programs in partnership with Global Enterprise Sales (GES) and Marketing.Curate and package high-impact assets (e.g., Industry Sales Kits, partner content) into cohesive, field-ready narratives.Ensure content is continuously updated, aligned to strategic priorities, and amplified through enablement engines and customer-facing channels.Build and nurture the partner ecosystem in support of key scenarios and use cases, working closely with Partner Leads.Own select partner executive relationships to drive alignment, co-innovation, and sales with partners.Develop and deliver thought leadership content, serve as a spokesperson at industry events, and lead feedback loops across field, customer, partner, marketing, and engineering.Drive the development, vetting, and curation of Microsoft’s solutions portfolio, ensuring relevance and differentiation in the market.Orchestrate alignment and collaboration across Engineering, Product, Marketing, ISE, and Enterprise Partner teams.Foster a culture of continuous innovation and knowledge sharing.Core Competencies & Leadership Expectations

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.6+ years of industry experience, with deep knowledge of solution selling and business outcomes.4+ years people management experience.Ability to build and lead diverse, high-performing teamsDemonstrated experience engaging with C-suite stakeholders.Cultural awareness and ability to work across global teams.Additional or preferred qualificationsMaster's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 6+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience with an emphasis on large scope projects partnering with leadership OR equivalent experience.
Sales Strategy Enablement M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $155,800 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,400 - $303,600 per year.
